Spring International Film Festival
AUTUMN SPRING

Czech Republic, 2001, 95 minutes, rated PG-13.

Fanda is an elderly former actor who refuses to grow up. To his wife’s consternation, he amuses himself by playing practical jokes with his friend Eda. When one of their jokes goes awry, Fanda’s wife must take action to protect the money she’s been saving for their funerals.  This film festival favorite takes a gently humorous look at growing old together. It won several Czech Lion awards, including Best Actor for Vlastimil Brodsky in his last role.
