Notes from all of our computer classes are available.  Click here.

The library has 20 computers available for public use.  All of the machines have access to the internet and are connected to a central printer.  Each machine has the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite installed on it, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Publisher & Access.  Also installed on each machine is the Firefox browser and Google Earth.

All 20 machines have a CD/DVD burner.

Our 5 newest computers do not have Floppy Drives, but the remaining 15 do.

4 of the computers are connected to scanners. There is no charge to use the scanners.

General Information:

A library card is needed to login to the computers.  One session lasts one hour, but a new session can be started if no one is waiting to use the computers.  If you do not have a library card, you can ask for a Visitor Pass at the Reference Desk.

All machines are connected to a central printer.  Printing costs 5¢ per black and white page and 25¢ per color page.  Bring your card and money to the Reference Desk to add money to your "account."  Any money you do not use will remain on your card until you use it.

You may also use our wireless connection!  The library provides 15 outlets to plug in your laptops.  Click here for our Wireless FAQs and here for our Wireless Policy.

The staff of the North Brunswick Public Library are able to answer questions about use of the Internet and offer searching suggestions to help locate information resources, but are not able to provide in-depth training in Internet skills or personal computer use.  Internet users are further advised that more accurate comprehensive or current information may be found in the Library's collections of books, periodicals and CD-ROM databases.  For thorough research on a topic, it is wise to consult with a member of the Library reference staff.

Finally, the North Brunswick Public Library reserves the right to terminate an Internet session at any time."
