If you are members of any of the programs listed below, you can borrow materials.  One library card, more than 150 libraries to visit.  Please read the terms of each of the programs before you visit.

Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC)

The North Brunswick Public Library is proud to be a member of LMxAC, a group of 31 libraries located throughout Monmouth, Middlesex and Union Counties. LMxAC shares both electronic and physical collection resources (books, DVDs and other media) as well as online catalog and circulation systems. This means that we are able to offer our patrons access to far more than what’s on our shelves and in our digital resource collection – and that patrons enjoy the convenience of borrowing or returning items at any LMxAC library! And participating library catalogs can be accessed via links on our website or on mobile devices via the LMxPress App.

Visit the LMxAC website to learn more!

Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries (MURAL)

The North Brunswick Public Library is also a member of MURAL.  Visit any MURAL library in person to check out their material and also return material borrowed from another MURAL library.  Just bring your North Brunswick card and your Driver's License with you.

Open Borrowing Agreements

In addition to all these great options, we have open borrowing agreements with Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren counties.  To take advantage of this membership, ask a North Brunswick Library circulation staff to set up this service.  An “Open Borrowing” sticker will be placed on your library card.  You will then be able to take out materials from any participating libraries.  Please note, some locations also may require that you present a form of ID with your home address.
